A crown is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth.

Ceramic crowns are state of the art crowns, which do not contain any metal,and are as strong or even stronger then bonded crowns,and look incredibly beautiful and natural just like real teeth!

This is because they allow light to pass through and reflect off them just like natural teeth,because they do not contain any metal like a bonded crown.

Also there is no black line where the tooth meets gum - a problem sometimes encountered with bonded crowns especially when the gum recedes.

There a many different types of ceramic crowns, and some that have a zirconia base are so strong that bridges can be made from them.
